Nigerian striker, Osaze Odemwingie, has been signed on loan to Bristol City, the club in the second tier division for the remainder of the season.
Odemwingie is leaving Stoke City, where he has made just five Premier League appearances this term.
Lee Johnson, head coach of Bristol, expressed delight over the loan deal, saying he is looking forward to working with the 34-year-old.
“I’m delighted we’ve been able to bring someone of Peter’s quality in; he’ll provide us with experience and hopefully goals in one form or another,” the club’s website quoted him as saying.
“I’m looking forward to working with him and he’ll be available for us at Fulham tomorrow.”
The player will wear number 27 at his new club.
Odemwingie came through the youth ranks at CSKA Moscow before returning to Nigeria to play professional football with Bendel Insurance.
